A photo travel log of a trip to China just prior to the 2008 Olympics. The contrast between a scrubbed and gleaming--and still horribly polluted--Beijing and the rest of the country we visited was stark. The air pollution was everywhere--even along a portion of the Great Wall not normally visited by tourists and located over 150 miles from Beijing. Wonderful, friendly people, thousands of years of history--and McDonald. More contrasts! Take a look.
