Bengal Tiger photographs from the Ranthambhore National Park and Tiger Reserve, India. Our guide spotted this big male sleeping in a favorite cave on one of our afternoon safaris and we waited for about 90 minutes until he woke and headed for water to cool off. As he passed our jeep he expressed his displeasure with a loud growl. We followed at a distance as he meandered about a quarter mile to the closest pond. On this day it was 51 degrees C--123.8 degrees F!
