The worn and creased faces of the rural pilgrims as they made the six mile round trek to the sacred and ancient temples of Fort Ranthambhore in 120 degree temperatures are unique and speak to the extraordinarily difficult lives they lead. The many families and small children living in the train stations and on the train platforms with little or no possessions are disturbing but largely ignored by India.
