Wildlife: Birds in the Galapagos Islands
The variety of birds in the Galapagos is astonishing. Especially when one considers that even birds of the same species have marked differences island-to-island. In some cases, these birds are endemic to the Galapagos--and, as is the case with the Galapagos Albatross, confined to one island--Puerto Suarez where they soar majestically off of the cliffs and where they mate and incubate their young.
